A candle and an incense stick shall be offered, and blessings for you asked, on an AUSPICIOUS DAY, or a pre-suggested day of your choice.The incense and the candle shall be placed, and a cross shall be marked on the ground at the falchion altar of the Holy Temple, the sacred place where sacrifices are held. The blessings thus sought would help you combat difficulties and ward calamities. This is a free service, and we gain nothing from this except the consolation of having helped someone in need. Needless to say, you will be informed once the offering is complete.

if you stay in a distant place, and cannot visit the shrine of the Maa Kali at Kalighat, an offering can be made to the Goddess in your name, and a puja performed on the chosen date.

Through us, you can now participate in the worship of the Mother without leaving the comforts of your living room.

Follow these easy steps to perform your ceremonial:

· Send us your name and address, and your 'gotra' if known.
· Select an AUSPICIOUS DAY for your puja.
· Choose the contents of your 'dali' or offering from the form below. All the contents will placed on a clean, red cloth, and put in the 'dali' or the basket.

CONTENTS OF THE DALI :

Sandesh
Dhoops and agarbattis (Incense sticks)
Garland of 108 jabas (chinarose)
Sindoor (vermillion)
Sankha, Paula and Loha (bangles associated with marriage)
Khanra (falchion or sacrificial dagger)
Sari, white with red border

· Your 'dali' will be offered to the Mother on the chosen date, and a puja performed for your benison. The ceremony will be conducted in the traditional method, with a garland of 108 'jabas' or chinarose, incense, arati, mantra and your 'dali' of offerings. Mr. Pradipta Banerjee, popularly known as 'Samarda', a 'sevayat' himself, will be assisting in the aspects of the puja, which will be carried out by a 'mishra', a special priest, and one of the few allowed to touch the idol of Kali. The puja, we assure you, will be of the highest quality and in accordance with the rituals prescribed by the Hindu religion.

· You will be informed immediately after the completion of the same.

· Also, a nicely packed thermocol box containing a garland of 108 jabas, and objects associated with the Goddess will be sent to you free of cost by the best possible courier service. The box will also contain a picture of Maa Kali (laminated), a 'rudraksha', 'shankha' and 'paula' (white and red bangles associated with marriage), 'sindoor' (vermilion), and a photograph of your 'dala' offered to the Mother.

· 'Bhog' or rice offering, and Hom or Yajna is optional, and need to be paid for separately. After the completion of the puja, the 'bhog' will be distributed among the poor and the needy residing in the temple premises.
